As a subconsultant, TranSmart provided structural engineering services for the relocation of four columns supporting the CTA’s elevated Green Line tracks over the intersection of Lake Street and Damen Avenue. TranSmart’s structural team created the plans for moving four columns underneath the existing structure; placing two new through girders and connecting to existing cross beams; as well as converting existing expansion conditions to fixed connections.
