TranSmart provided engineering support, as part of the team for the systems engineering design for connected vehicle (CV) and automated vehicle (AV) strategies on the I-94 North-South Freeway and local roads associated with the Foxconn manufacturing plant’s development in Racine County, Wisconsin.

TranSmart performed a literature search and other research on the current state of CV and AV technology applications to determine their current state of deployment readiness and maturity; supported preparation of smart corridor concept of operations-related documents—including prioritization, cost estimates, and schedules for proposed concepts and strategies; implemented quality assurance and quality control processes with routine project / technology reviews; technical review of final design and contract plans to assess readiness; and developed roadmaps for the smooth deployment of any future CAV technology applications.
