TranSmart provided civil, electrical, structural, and traffic engineering services as a subconsultant for this multi-year, multi-contract effort to reconstruct the upper and lower levels of north-south Wacker Drive (Van Buren to Randolph) and the interchange with Congress Parkway I-290. TranSmart prepared maintenance of traffic (MOT) and construction staging plans, specifications, and cost estimates; coordinated utilities; conducted an accident analysis; developed traffic projections for affected roadways in the downtown area; and developed detour routes for each construction phase.
